Promectin Plus is an efficient broad spectrum wormer for the treatment of internal parasites including tapeworms Anoplocephala perfoliata, A. magna, and Paranoplocephala mammillana (adult and immature, heads and segments); large strongyles Strongylus vulgaris (adults and arterial larval stages), S. edentatus (adults and tissue stages), S. equinus (adults) and Triodontophorus spp. (adults); small strongyles including benzimidazole-resistant strains of (adult and immature) Cyathostomum spp., Cylicocyclus spp., Cylicostephanus spp., Cylicodontophorus spp., and Gyalocephalus spp.; pinworm Oxyuris equi (adult and immature); ascarids Parascaris equorum (adult and immature); hairworm Trichostrongylus axei (adult); large-mouthed stomach worm Habronema muscae (adult); neck threadworm Onchocerca spp. (microfilariae); bots Gasterophilus spp. (oral and gastric stages); lungworm Dictyocaulus arnfieldi (adult and immature); and intestinal threadworm Strongyloides westeri (adult).

Also effectively controls skin lesions caused by Habronema spp. and Draschia spp., and cutaneous larvae (summer sores) and microfilariae of Onchocerca spp. (cutaneous onchocerciasis).
